Telemedicine is a secure virtual consultation between you and one of our veterinarians. It allows us to assess certain health concerns, answer questions, and help determine if your pet needs to be seen in person — and how urgently.
Telemedicine is best for:
Minor illnesses or injuries
Post-treatment check-ins
Skin or eye concerns
Behavioral issues
Guidance on whether in-person care is needed
Due to state regulations, veterinarians cannot legally diagnose or prescribe medications without an active Veterinary-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) — defined as a physical exam within the past 12 months.
✅ Telemedicine is available if:
Your pet has been seen in person at HEAL within the last year
🚫 If not:
We can provide general advice only, but cannot legally diagnose, treat, or prescribe medication until an exam is completed.
