Urgent care is appropriate for issues that are not life-threatening but could present dangers to your animal companion if not seen in a timely manner.
We always set aside several slots in our daily schedule for urgent cases, but calling ahead rather than simply bringing your pet into the hospital will give us time to prepare for your arrival. We encourage you to call us at (929) 359-9297 for any urgent cases.
Signs your pet may need emergency care include:
- Pale gums
- Rapid breathing
- Weak or rapid pulse
- Change in body temperature
- Difficulty standing
- Apparent paralysis
- Loss of consciousness
- Seizures
- Excessive bleeding

For any emergencies that happen after-hours, or if your pet requires overnight care, we can refer you to a local emergency vet or 24-hour hospital.
